Financial Operations Specialist | Part-Time

About the Job

LRS Healthcare, a leader in the Healthcare Staffing industry, is looking for self-motivated, detail-oriented and reliable individuals to apply for a Financial Operations Specialist position which is available at our Omaha, Nebraska, office.

In this role, you will be part of a growing operations team tasked to ensure accuracy and timeliness for all of our employees. You will work in a high-volume office reviewing timesheets and contracts for all medical travelers on a weekly basis to ensure accurate payroll and billing. You will also work collaboratively with a team of skilled professionals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, demonstrating precision and expertise to maximize efficiency and productivity.

This is a part-time role with flexible hours ranging from a minimum of 16 hours/weekly to a maximum of 26 hours/weekly. The standard required work days for this position are Mondays and Tuesdays each week, and preference will be given to candidates who would also like to work Wednesdays.

Financial Operations Specialist Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform consistent and accurate reviews and entry of all medical traveler timesheet information inclusive of all hours worked, pay rates and stipends provided.
  • Build relationships with customers to ensure timely payments on account and accurate invoicing.
  • Research, analyze and resolve all discrepancies and report to management as needed.

Financial Operations Specialist Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required—associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two or more years’ experience working in finance support, payroll support or similar role.
  • Excellent computer skills, primarily Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Aptitude for numbers and outstanding commitment to accuracy.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled problem solver and analytical thinker.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.

The QA Specialist will work with our Operations and Staffing Managers to ensure all Pre-Employment and Onboarding Documentation is compliant. The QA Specialist will help to implement a streamlined process for relaying required documentation to our Client Hospitals.

The job functions listed below represent the essential job duties and responsibilities of the above-listed position.

  • Works closely with credentialing staff to help obtain information for traveler personnel files; including but not limited to certifications, licenses, health information, background checks, drug screens and core mandatory testing.
  • Helps identify missing documentation, searches for and investigates information contained in files, to ensure files are kept current.
  • Updates Database to accurately represent travel employee file contents, including expiration dates, data entry, and attaching files.
  • Assist staff with administrative duties and special projects as requested.
  • Making phone contact with New Hire and Current Employees to retrieve missing or expiring documents, medical records, or pre-employment information
