National Friendship Week: Meet Mehgan and Randi

Aug 20, 2021 | Company Culture

This week is National Friendship Week and what better way to conclude the week than talking about a friendship we specialize in: traveler and recruiter friendships! Let’s take a trip down memory lane and talk about a friendship 6 years in the making. Meet Randi and Mehgan!

Q: Mehgan, how long had you been a nurse prior to meeting Randi? Were you traveling beforehand?

Mehgan: Almost 6 years as an Operating Room RN! I had just started traveling about 7 months before Randi and I crossed paths.

Q: How did you two meet?

Randi: We met through mutual friends in Omaha! My sister and another friend referred us to each other.

Q: What stood out about Randi?

Mehgan: She tells it like it is and gets the job done, and I liked the smallness of LRS as a company.

Q: What stood out about Mehgan?

Randi: Mehgan makes an impact on everyone! She’s trustworthy, dependable, and most importantly kind. She’s someone you can always count on, whether it’s work or in your personal life. She is genuine and truly cares about everyone.

Q: Was it an instant friendship?

Mehgan: I would say yes!

Randi: We got along right away. I was actually very new to recruiting and super nervous to work with someone with as much experience as she has!

Q: How long have you two been working together?

Randi: It will be 6 years in January 2022!

Q: What do you appreciate most about Mehgan as a traveler?

Randi: Everything. She’s reliable, dependable, and works as a team with me. She’s very supportive when it comes to fellow travelers and nurses too.

Q: What do you appreciate most about Randi as a recruiter?

Mehgan: She is always available when needed, and about just as loyal as I am!

Q: Have you ever met in person?

Randi: We’ve hung out together at weddings etc. She’s moving to Omaha soon, so we’ll be hanging out much more. Especially if she ends up getting a house with a pool.

Q: What is your favorite memory with one another?

Mehgan: The first time we were introduced at a concert while I was on contract in Omaha, and then I’d say the rest is history

Randi: When my German Shepherd passed away, I received a GSD statue in the mail out of Mehgan’s personal vintage collection. She said that it belonged with me.

We love hearing about the friendships that blossom outside of the travel healthcare world with our recruiters and travelers! Who is your favorite recruiter and why do you consider them a dear friend?
