  Tips for Securing Housing

Congratulations on your assignment! You may have some questions about setting up your housing and making payment arrangements so here are a few steps for you to take once you have selected a housing option you want to rent:

1. Once you have decided where you would like to stay, you will need to reach out to the host directly or through the appropriate platform to set up your stay. Here are some good questions to ask when contacting the host:

      • What are the upfront costs for moving in and the monthly rent?
      • What is included in the rent (utilities, wi-fi, cable, parking, etc.)?
      • What area is the rental located and can you tell me about the neighborhood?
      • What is the process to secure this rental? (Is there an application/lease agreement?)
      • Are there any house rules or guest restrictions?
      • Is there anything else I should know about the rental before committing?

2. Do not wait too long to book. The best housing options book up quickly – so reach out to your favorites as soon as possible. Rates and availability are subject to change.

3. If not booking through a verified platform such as Airbnb or VRBO, we suggest that you and the landlord sign a lease/rental agreement for your protection. We do not recommend wiring funds.

4. If you need help with any housing costs, please reach out to your Recruiter/Account Manager to discuss. We are here as a resource to assist you, but we are unable to make any sort of payment without your Account Manager’s approval.

5. If you have any concerns, please address them to us. We tailor options to your preferences. Please understand we always try to find you the best housing options available for your assignment, however some areas may have limited short term housing options to choose from.
